Miss Greater Waterbury
Hometown: Woodbridge, CT

Talent: Vocal Performance
What was your first thought when you were crowned Miss Greater Waterbury?
When I was crowned the thing that I was most excited about was being able to share my platform, Beauty Beyond Size, with a wider audience. The Miss America Organization is a way for me to speak passionately on self-love, self-confidence, and to share my own story and how I don’t let my size define my inner beauty.
What do you hope to accomplish as Miss Greater Waterbury?
This year I want more than anything to empower women to be authentically themselves and encourage them to chase after their dreams. So many times women feel they aren’t pretty enough, thin enough, or good enough to be leaders and agents of change within their communities. By supporting women, I want to help give them the confidence they need to change the world.
To you, why is Miss America still relevant?
Miss America is relevant because now more than ever before, America is fighting for women’s rights and supporting strong, powerful women. When we are able to have a platform to speak on issues that we feel passionate about, get to showcase our unique talents, and get rewarded for our hard work with scholarships to further our education, we as women are making strides towards equality.
What has been your favorite appearance thus far as Miss Greater Waterbury?
My favorite appearance thus far was when I helped out at the BeYew Queens On the Move “I Can Do Anything” Unicorn Paint Party. There I met with young girls from the Greater Waterbury area and was able to spend time talking with them about my social impact. I listened to the girls tell me their stories and their hopes and dreams, and I told them how I was pursuing my dream of competing for Miss Connecticut, and that they are able to accomplish anything that they set their minds to.
What is your favorite quote?
“It is confidence in our bodies, minds, and spirits that allows us to keep looking for new adventures.” – Oprah Winfrey
I have performed at the Grand Ole Opry and Carnegie Hall!
Who would you like to thank for helping you get to this point?
