What was your first thought when you were crowned Miss Greater Watertown’s Outstanding Teen?

When I found out that I was Miss Greater Watertown’s Outstanding Teen, all I could think about was how excited I was to embark on this new journey.  I was ready to represent this area, make a difference in our community, and compete for the title of Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen. 

What do you hope to accomplish as Miss Greater Watertown’s Outstanding Teen?

As Miss Greater Watertown’s Outstanding Teen, I hope to make a real difference in my community through my platform, “Blessed to Be a Blessing: Providing for Kids in Need.”  I also want to inspire young girls to use their voice to make their own difference.

To you, why is Miss America still relevant?

Miss America is still relevant because it empowers young women to use their voice to make a difference in our nation.  During a time when women are still struggling to be heard, Miss America is a figure who represents hard-working, talented women.   

What has been your favorite appearance thus far as Miss Greater Watertown’s Outstanding Teen?

My favorite appearance as Miss Greater Watertown’s Oustanding Teen was the Easter Bunny Comes to Town.  I had so much fun interacting with the Watertown community.  We were able to bring so much joy to the kids through all of the different activities.

What is your favorite quote?

“If you can’t feed 100 children, then feed just one.” –  Mother Teresa

Fun fact: I’m a Disney fanatic.

Who would you like to thank for helping you get to this point?

I would like to thank my family for being so supportive of me on this new journey.  I also would like to thank my executive director and business manager, Lindsay Bugryn and Avril Fraser for helping me with everything along the way.  Lastly, I would like to thank my Sister Queen, Alyssa Anderson, and the other titleholders for welcoming me into the sisterhood.  Everyone has helped me to become the best version of myself as I prepare to compete for my dream job, Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen!
