What was your first thought when you were crowned Miss Tolland County?
I was beyond excited and thankful to be crowned Miss Tolland County 2019! I couldn’t believe I was given another opportunity to compete at Miss Connecticut and to receive another year full of promoting my social impact and personal growth. I was also excited to go eat dinner after a long day of competition at my favorite restaurant!
What do you hope to accomplish as Miss Tolland County?
During my time as Miss Tolland County, I hope to make lasting connections with the community of Tolland and its surrounding towns. I also hope to expand my social impact “Autism Minds: Changing the Way We Think” promoting acceptance and awareness to a greater audience. I look forward to traveling to local schools and sharing my social impact, and teaching the students how each and every one of them can make a positive difference in the life of a child on the Spectrum.
To you, why is Miss America still relevant?
Miss America is a strong, empowered, woman who uses her title to benefit the lives of all of those around her. She dedicates her time to service, and promotes other young girls and women to be their authentic self. The Miss America Organization is the number one provider of scholarships to women nationwide, and allows women to have the educational opportunities they deserve. Miss America is more relevant than ever and will always continue to be a powerful role model to many.
What has been your favorite appearance thus far as Miss Tolland County?
My favorite appearance thus far has to be HuskyTHON! The Connecticut Children’s Hospital dance marathon, organized by the University of Connecticut, was a huge success. Raising over a million dollars for the kids was an amazing accomplishment for all of those who had participated. Hearing the stories of the miracle children helped for everyone to realize why we dance for the kids and why we will continue to for years to come. As an ambassador for Connecticut Children’s and CMNH Hospitals nationwide, raising money is such a humbling and rewarding experience as we see how the hospitals truly benefit the lives of the miracle children.

Who would you like to thank for helping you get to this point?
My family has been my support system and biggest fans since day one and I don’t know where I would be without them. I would like to thank them for their content support, for always being truthful, and for doing whatever they can to make my dreams come true. There will never be enough words to show my gratitude. I would also like to thank my best friends for coming to every pageant to support, giving their opinions on wardrobe and music, and for instilling confidence in myself. I love you guys!
