What was your first thought when you were crowned Miss Mountain Laurel’s Outstanding Teen 2019?
My first thought after being crowned Miss Mountain Laurel’s Outstanding Teen 2019 was that I get to compete on the Miss CTOT stage for the second time. I cannot wait to be back to compete for my dream job of Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen 2019.
What do hope to accomplish as Miss Mountain Laurel’s Outstanding Teen 2019?
I hope to raise even more money towards Alzheimers since my platform is “Fighting to Remember”- raising Alzheimer’s awareness. So far I have raised over $4,000, which makes me feel so proud of myself knowing I am making a small impact on a disease that has touched my family and me so personally.
To you, why is Miss America still relevant?
Miss America is still relevant to me because it allows women to express who they are to all different people. I know I have personally grown because of all the appearances I have attended, and all of the people I have met within the organization, there are hundreds of people I most likely would not have met if it weren’t for this organization.
What has been your favorite appearance thus far as Miss Mountain Laurel’s Outstanding Teen 2019?
My favorite appearance thus far as Miss Mountain Laurel’s Outstanding Teen 2019 was the Mystic, CT St. Patricks Day Parade. At this appearance, I was able to meet many new people from all across Connecticut and Rhode Island. It was very fun seeing all of the different floats people made to get into the St. Patty’s spirit!
What is your favorite quote?
“Everything happens for a reason” has been my favorite quote ever since I was a little girl. I always keep this in my mind through good times and bad times in life. There is a purpose for everything that happens in everyone’s life even if the message is not clear as to why it is occurring at that moment in time.
My great grandma taught me how to sew when I was 5 years old, I now have my own sewing machine.
Who would you like to thank for helping you get to this point?
I would like to thank both my mom and dad for all of their love and support, my Auntie Sharon who is currently battling lung cancer for the constant good luck texts, my business managers and executive directors for all of the mock interviews, love, and support, and the rest of my family and friends that have supported me from day one when I entered the pageant world.
