Monica Fenwick, a recent summa cum laude graduate of UCONN’s masters in speech and language pathology program, serves as Miss Connecticut 2024. She is the founder of “Communication is Key” — advocating for those with a communication disorder through the creation of her podcast, school tour series, and implementation of playground communication boards across the state. Monica’s work has received state-wide recognition, as Governor Lamont declared May 28th “Communication is Key” day in the state of Connecticut. Her end goal as both a titleholder, and speech-language pathologist, is to make effective communication accessible to all.
